Have you received your PALS Provider Certification, but now want to teach others the skills you've learned? 

We’re here to help! 

Here at Eastern CPR, our PALS Instructor Course is designed to empower future PALS instructors to train participants according to the American Heart Association (AHA) Guidelines. Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive the American Heart Association PALS Instructor certification and you will be licensed to teach PALS classes and certify your students. 

The PALS Instructor Course content includes:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) skills and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) skills
• Teaching skills according to AHA policies and procedures
• How to use AHA course materials and how to operate teaching equipment
• How to provide quality feedback to class participants
• Practice teaching assignments
• As part of your teaching practice, you will teach other class participants and also perform skills performance evaluation of fellow class participants. We will learn from one another!
• In addition, we will also help you reinforce your PALS skills listed below, and teach you how to instruct those skills to your future students:
• Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest
• Distinguish which patients need direct care
• Differentiate between compensated and hypotensive shock
• Understand differences between stable and unstable patients with arrhythmias
• Recognition and management of shock
• Recognition and management of respiratory emergencies
• Airway Management Skills
• Vascular Access Skills
• Effective Communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team

• We include the PALS Instructor manual (a $63 value) for FREE! Just reach out to us regarding when to pick it up. 

Course prerequisites: 

1. You must have a current PALS Provider Certification in order to attend the PALS Instructor class. If you do not have a current PALS Provider certification, click one of the links below to view our schedule and sign up for an PALS Provider class before your Instructor class:

2. You must complete the American Heart Association PALS Instructor Essentials Online course before coming to the PALS Instructor class. The AHA charges $41.20 for this course. When you register for the PALS Instructor course, we will send you a confirmation email with the link to the Instructor Essentials Online course. It will take less than 2 hours to complete. When you have completed the online course, email us your certificate before the date of your Instructor course, or print it and bring it with you.
