Our Central Sterile Processing program is a course that is designed to launch you into a successful career as a Certified Registered Central Sterile Technician.
Two course option are available:
A) Our 12 week program (Saturdays only)
or
B) Our 5 week fastrack program (Mondays - Thursdays)
During this course, we will thoroughly prepare you to sit for and pass the certification exam. In addition, we provide placement at a hospital for your 400 hours clinical training. Read below for more details:
Course Title: Central Sterile Processing
Prerequisite: Ability to Read and Write & Minimum High School Diploma
Certificate: HSPA Certified Registered Central Sterile Technician
Textbook Used: HSPA Central Service Technical Training Manual (9th Edition)
Course Curriculum for CRCST Program
- Introduction (to Central Sterile), Career & Professional Development.
- Infection Control / Prevention; Cleaning, Decontamination & Disinfection
- Surgical Instrumentation preparation and packaging
- Sterilization and Record Maintenance
- Sterile Storage, Inventory Management and Quality Assessment.
- Patient Care Equipment, I.T and Safety Management
- Communication and Human Relations
- Labs and Hands-on Skills Practice with equipment
- Mock Examination
- Pre-400 hours Clinical Training
- 400 Hours Clinical Training placement is included. We take care of placement for you.
You will be learning from an instructor who is highly experienced in the field {BSc, CHL, CER, CIS, CRCST} with 12 years’ experience in both teaching and practising sterile processing.
