Thank you for your interest in becoming an American Red Course Instructor!

The American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor Course empowers future instructors to train participants in First Aid/CPR/AED courses, Bloodborne Pathogens Training, and several Skill Boosts according to the American Red Cross Standards.

This course is offered in a blended learning format that includes:

• First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor Course online session—designed to be completed in approximately 2 hours. 

• First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor Course in-person session—designed to be completed in approximately 5 hours and 30 minutes.

Upon completion, future instructors will:

• Engage class participants while providing effective training
• Execute instructor-level First Aid/AED/CPR skills
• Perform accurate record keeping
• Monitor peer feedback between class participants
• Oversee participants’ training 
• Provide effective evaluation and encouragement
• Utilize equipment and materials successfully
• Administer American Red Cross digital certificates to participants
• Follow the American Red Cross guidelines in order to deliver excellent training 
• Receive a two-year Red Cross Certificate

Course Prerequisites: First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor candidates must possess a current basic-level certification in First Aid/CPR/AED or equivalent. If you don't currenlty have the basic-level certification certification, please click here to register for that class: https://easterncpr.enrollware.com/schedule#ct143027. When registering, please choose a class date that occurs before the date of your instructor course so that you have your basic-level certification before your Instructor course.

1. Select one of the dates below to register for the in-person session of the Instructor course. 
2. After registering, you will receive a cofirmation emal with instructions about the online portion of the course. The confirmation email will also include other course materials to help you prepare for the in-person portion of the course (All digital Course materials included free of charge). 
3. Complete onlne portion and review digital materials 
4. Attend in-person course
5. Receive two-year American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor certificate!
